We had room number one and woke up with an amazing view onto the alps so close you can almost touch them. The kitchen is really well equipped. We picked up some supplies for breakfast. Instant coffee, sugar, salt, herbal teas were already there in abundance. Plus they sell local cheese directly from the kitchen fridge. Also, when we left, I had forgotten my purse! The owner came running after us (a good 500 m) to bring it to me! That's what I call SERVICE!

The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and with a private bathroom. Coffee or tea was available in the dining room anytime. Breakfast was generous. I arrived early due to bad weather and as my room was available I was allowed to check in early. I very much appreciated this.

Our meals were delicious and the chef took Into account for 2 of our children’s food allergies. The location and views were amazing. Our children (ages 4,9 and 11) all loved the playgrounds and treasure hunt hike up the mountain. This was a very family friendly lodge and we hope to visit again! Everyone who works here is friendly and compassionate.

Located in a quiet, but central area in Grindelwald, 350 metres from the Firstbahn and Männlichenbahn Cable Cars, Lehmann's Herberge Hostel offers accommodation in a traditional Swiss chalet, with... This B&B is superb and very value for money. Great view of the mountains. The area is also quiet and allows for an uninterrupted sleep at night. With its prime location near the Grindelwald train station, it is a great base to explore the area and even Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken. The hosts are friendly and the place is kept very clean including the toilet. The lady host is a very hardworking lady; I love the breakfast she prepares. The lady host also gave me recommendation on hiking trails and shared with me brochures which are helpful for my itinerary planning. Before the date of my stay, I also received an email prompt for pre-registration which I thought was very thoughtful as I could then receive a guest card which provides some perks like free transportation around the area.

To provide a more unique piece of comment, when I arrived late, tired and outside of incheck hours, I found the bedsheets presented neatly inside-out. In case we are not familiair with how to make up a bed the easiest way, take the sheets inside-out and shake like crazy. I was tired and I was positively speechless (if I was talking). Never made a bed up so easily in my life, for real. On a more personal experience, Matt really gave me the “Swiss” feeling that other, more touristy places, failed me to provide. I felt comfortable and like at home in the area, but then in Switzerland. I will definitely come back here, to climb the mountain across Matt. I did not have the time for it sadly.
