World-famous Matterhorn Mountain can be viewed from Youth Hostel Zermatt. Ski lifts as well as Zermatt city centre are a 10-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Access to the hotel very easy by E bus grune Line to Kirchbrucke station then a very short walk. The room is clean, as well as the bathroom and shower. Varied breakfast.

The recent refurbishment is classy and stylish. The pool is swanky with huge windows looking out over the mountains, ditto for the spa which is 13chf extra per day and worth a visit. Breakfast is ample with lots of choice. No complaints at all! Staff are nice too. I stayed in a mixed dormitory because the hotel was full so no female dorms were set up. The room was big. For a youth hostel it’s not cheap but what can I say, it is Switzerland so what can you do? It’s a 7 minute walk to the funicular which drops you into the ski resort. I loved the skiing. Lots of red runs and many drag lifts.
