Definately recommend and would give 10+ rating if possible.

Situated in San Pedro de Atacama, Hostal Perita is set just a short distance from attractions such as San Pedro Church, Pukará de Quitor, and San Pedro's main square. Free WiFi available throughtout the property. Extremely nice hostel and an incredible value. The room was clean and comfy, with the biggest and most comfortable bed I have had in 3 months of hostel travels. The attention to guests was excellent—-they provide daily cleaning of your room and provide a fresh, hot breakfast. The kitchen was well stocked, and there is a beautiful garden with lots of seating. Located 5 mins from the Main Street of the town, so you have easy access to everything but also peace and quiet when you’re at the hostel. Others have complained about the water temperature in their reviews but I found it good—- I had 2 very hot showers and 2 “warm-to-hot” showers, which is much better than average, in my hostel experience. Finally, the owner (Sol) and her son (Ignacio) are absolutely lovely and cultivate such a nice vibe—- I really enjoyed getting to know them and appreciated how they took the time to talk with and get to know their guests.

The hostel is 1.1 km from both R.P. Gustavo Le Paige Archeological Museum and Inca House. Mrs. Elvira, who attended to us, was very sweet and attentive, always in a good mood and with a smile on her face. Although it is located far from the town's center, the hotel is like a refuge, there is not much movement and it is very peaceful. It is possible to rent bicycles to go faster to the town centre, although we didn't rent one, we went on foot. They seemed to be doing some work to improve the space, but more improvements were needed in the surroundings. The street needed to be significantly improved, but it's not the hotel's fault. I highly recommend it if you want to spend a few days, there is parking for your car. TIP for travellers: San Pedro de Atacama seems to be a calm place, there is a lot to see and getting around by car seems to be a much more pleasant option than rushing around on tours. Shower water is hot during the day, and at night it takes a little longer to heat up. Self-service breakfast and complete. Elvira kindly prepared the table for us each morning.

The hostel is located in a tranquil area right next to a grocery store. Gustavo Le Paige museum is a 5-minute walk away. Calama Airport is approximately a 1-hour drive away. Shuttle services can be arranged for an extra fee. Rodrigo is very organized as such everything runs very smoothly especially with so many people using the kitchen. He is exceptionally helpful and caring. He follows up and makes great suggestions on tours as well as organizing the shuttle bus. Breakfast is generous and delicious. As well he offers real coffee.
