First of all, I do not really understand why it is called hostel - every room has its own shower and toilet, and in fact it is rather a very small hotel with access to a nice and neat kitchen (since there are only three rooms, we never even co-used it with anyone, it was to our use all the time). The building is designed in a smart way, so that it is not too hot inside the rooms, and even the absence of A/C was not an issue. It is possible to park a car in the front yard and lock the gate, which makes it very safe place. Normally I am very picky and never stay in hostels, but it is a nice exception.

Situated in San Pedro de Atacama, Hostal Perita is set just a short distance from attractions such as San Pedro Church, Pukará de Quitor, and San Pedro's main square. Extremely nice hostel and an incredible value. The room was clean and comfy, with the biggest and most comfortable bed I have had in 3 months of hostel travels. The attention to guests was excellent—-they provide daily cleaning of your room and provide a fresh, hot breakfast. The kitchen was well stocked, and there is a beautiful garden with lots of seating. Located 5 mins from the Main Street of the town, so you have easy access to everything but also peace and quiet when you’re at the hostel. Others have complained about the water temperature in their reviews but I found it good—- I had 2 very hot showers and 2 “warm-to-hot” showers, which is much better than average, in my hostel experience. Finally, the owner (Sol) and her son (Ignacio) are absolutely lovely and cultivate such a nice vibe—- I really enjoyed getting to know them and appreciated how they took the time to talk with and get to know their guests.

Located 500 metres from the town centre of San Pedro de Atacama, Hotel Anpaymi Atacama offers accommodations in the commune of Lickancabur. Felt very safe like home. Very friendly and courteous service. The room and bathroom were very clean. I would highly recommend this place, and if ever visit San Pedro, I will stay here again within a heartbeat. Finally, Andrea always helped us with a smile on her face no matter the time of the day.

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Plaza de Armas, this rustically inspired hostel is located in San Pedro de Atacama. Bicycle rentals are available at Hostal Casa Turipite. We had a pleasant stay in Casa Turipite. Our room was very comfortable and we also enjoyed the communal area. Pamela left our breakfast ready for us, as we had a very early tour. If you are planing a trip to san pedro de atacama this palce is highly recommended! Right in the center and close to everthing. The staff are realy kind and helpfull. The rooms are great, i stayed in a 4 bed doorm- the beds are comfy, you have shelves for your things and lockers. The kitchen is well equipped and you have place to store your food. It has hammocks to chill and outdoor furniture to relax after your daily tours. And for me the most importent thing in a hotel or hostel- its very very clean!!! If youll miss breakfast cos you have an early tour- they will prepare you a take away bag with- sandwich, cereal bar, yogurt and juice box.
