Posada Casa Salento is 100% excellent in terms of 1) Staff - the host, John, Angela who checked us in, 3 staff at breakfast room and our room's cleaning lady - everyone did their best to help and make our 3 nights stay very enjoyable & comfortable! 2) Location - it is an easy walk to the bus station and also to Salento main square. A few steps away from a Laundry shop, a snacks & drinks shop two doors away and numerous restaurants close by. 3) Breakfast is very delicious & hearty. There were 8 choices so we could pick a different make-to-order breakfast during our 3 days stay. Fresh juice, well toasted bread & arepa and great coffee were included too. 4) Free drinking water & free brewed coffee provided 24-h, these were located at the corridor on every floor of the inn. 5) Ponchos , umbrella and best of all, waterproof paddington boots could be loan out for hiking at Cocora valley. We used the boots and these made our hike so much more easy and fuss-free. You can see the highest level of dedication in John, the host, at Casa Salento. Every detail has been taken care of, Casa Salento offers excellent hospitality and is one of the best accommodation that we have ever stayed with in over 80 countries.

The property is located 35 km from Technological University of Pereira, 36 km from César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct and 37 km from Viaduct between Pereira and Dosquebradas. The property is non-smoking and is situated 47 km from Ukumari Zoo. We could not of had a nicer stay in Salento here. Valentina and the family were beyond helpful and made our stay better. On arrival Valentina gave us a list of activities that can be done in the area, advice on bus times and any other general help we needed. Place was spotless, located at the square in Salento and great value for money.

The owner and staff are mostly French, so it’s somewhat different than Colombian places, but in a good way 😁 The food is pretty good, not gourmet but satisfying and you can see that they try hard to make everyone feel welcome and satisfied. Dimitry, the owner, is funny and cute. I wish we could stay longer because this place empties your worrying mind and fills your heart with happiness.

Hosts José and Estrella were incredibly helpful and welcoming and they made sure we had everything we needed. Upon request, they arranged for us an airport transfer through a trusted friend of theirs and they made sure we knew our way to the bus terminal after the check-out. The bedroom was cozy and perfectly clean, the mattress was comfy too. On top, we loved breakfast. We would definitely recommend this property.

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at the hostel. I think this hostel was the best hostel I've ever stayed at! The staff is supernice and helpful, the common areas are extremely spacious, comfy and welcoming. The room was also amazing. The beds are 1,20m wide, there is a locker for every bed and every room is assigned to one bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and breakfast is included and super delicious!! I'm actually trying to find a reason to go back to Manizales so I can stay in this hostel again. :)

The owners are super friendly! It feels like visiting family friends. The location is also super nice; Salento is very small so everything is close by. Everyone has their own bathroom; I don’t mind sharing a bathroom but it is always nice to have your own space. The bread and fruits in the morning are super lovely. The owners also helped us super nicely with planning stuff and giving tips.
