I enjoyed the community areas, there are many spaces to hang out, read something or have a good chat with other travellers.

The breakfast offers à la carte, continental or Full English/Irish options. At the hostel you will find a restaurant serving American, Steakhouse and local cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. The location was wonderful and very close to the beach. The staff were understanding and accommodating as they interacted with this solo traveler and occasionally lit mom. Super-patient staff who went above and beyond helpful. Made me feel welcomed even though I knew the words to all the 80’s songs. If I didn't have a bad knee and a temperamental hip, I would have led a song along and been "dancing to the oldies". I also thought the fans at the head and foot of the bunk beds were genius, since they reduced any possible noise (I heard barely any music from my location).

The units at the hostel come with a private bathroom and bed linen. The place is amazingly cute and really has charm built out of wood. There is lots of communal places to hang out in the shade and hamacas. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. The kitchen is one of the best i"ve seen while traveling: 8 hotplaces and at least 10 pans. And the pans are absolutely not the rotten carcinogenic pans you sometimes find in hostels. The often clean the kitchen so it stays nice and clean. Omar has the beat tips om where to eat or what to do. Of course if you look for AC and pool it might not be your vibe. Bur for backpackers like me it is a dream. I ended up staying a week there. And already want to go back.

The units at Sashii Hostel & Boutique. Feature air conditioning and a safety deposit box. The staff was amazing.Everyone was super friendly and helpful. It is. A very good location only a couple blocks from the ocean front. Very nice rooftop terrace.

Hostal La Media Luna Palomino is located among the scenic trees and plants of Palomino and only 1 km away from the nearest beach. The open-air hostel offers a shared lounge.

Ceiling fans and mosquito nets are featured in the hostel. The open-air environment allows guests to easily observe the surrounding landscapes from their rooms. A straw roof covers wood ceiling beams. Stone sinks and showers are provided in the communal bathroom. The open air palapa style hostel with wonderful community areas and spectacular pool!

Set in Ríohacha, Guajira region, Hammocks - Hamacas is situated 100 metres from Playa de Riohacha. The hostel also offers free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service.

At the hostel, the rooms come with a wardrobe. At Hammocks - Hamacas, all rooms include air conditioning and a shared bathroom. No complaints! It's basic but well-run. Joshua speaks good English and provided details for a 3 day tour of the desert - also recommended. The hammocks were strong and comfortable.The air conditioning works, there are lockers (bring your own padlock), a courtyard with chairs for socialising, and the beach is a very short walk away. I stayed here twice.

À la carte and continental breakfast options are available at the hostel. We had perfect days at Ranchería Utta. We stayed for three nights, but if I had known how special the energy of Cabo de la Vela is, and how serene and comfortable the ranchería would be, I would have stayed longer. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and everyone who works there is kind and helpful. The lodge is beautifully maintained, and the room was spacious and extremely comfortable. I will definitely come back someday — everything was truly special. A heartfelt thank you especially to Gabriel, Andrés, and Will, with whom we had the most contact. A big hug!
