Plus, location is perfect because it’s close to the airport (which is a big differential given the amount I’d have spent on taxi if I had stayed at another hostel in San Jose’s city center)… and the area is really chill, with a beautiful view of the mountains and good restaurants. Definitely staying there again anytime I find myself in San Jose in the future.

Great location (super close to the airport), very clean and comfortable beds Katty (host) was also amazing - she made us feel so welcome, organised pizza delivery for dinner and called us a taxi when we had to leave (waited with us to make sure we got off ok). Would definitely recommend

This is a wonderful family who have opened their home to travellers in a very small community outside Rio Celeste. They are incredibly welcoming and have a fantastic clean home with a kitchen and great breakfast.

We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

It was my first hostel in Costa Rica and I hope to find more places like this on my trip! Very nice reception, very nice common areas, lots of bathrooms and showers to use (which are new). When I arrived they explained me a map of the city and helped me to organize my activities to make the best use of my time. My favorites were the yoga area and the hostel pet!

Alpha Arenal Hostel se află în Fortuna, la aproximativ 5,6 km de Cascada La Fortuna și la 4,9 km de Kalambu Hot Springs. Amazing staffs, they were all kind and welcoming. The price was super affordable, and they organize good activities among people staying this hostel with a good price. Highly recommended if you are solo traveller because you can get to know others ;) the puppies was so adorable they made my stay much memorable and unforgettable.

He gave lots of great recommendations for several activities and does not want to sell tours like lots of others. Just perfect!!! This made our trip perfect and I highly recommend the hostel for everyone who goes to La Fortuna. The rooms were clean and we had a nice balkony to sit outside. It is a great hostel to get to know others.
