A beautiful, affordable, tropical mountain retreat in the rainforest with more trails than we could hike in the extent of our stay. The owners were amazingly accommodating and great at communication. The communal cooking facilities were excellent.

The location is perfect, just steps away from snta Tere beach, where you can enjoy magical sunsets and the relaxing sound of the ocean. The vibe is calm and authentic, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying the “pura vida” lifestyle. Everything was very clean, and their sweet cat added an extra touch of charm

Perfect stay! Great location in the middle of nature. Nothing fancy, just connection to Costa Rica beautiful nature ! Comfy beds, everything you need, waking up with birds in the middle of the garden. Heyner’s family is so nice, his wife is cooking a great breakfast and dinner. They booked the mangrove trip which was amazing and we had horseback riding with Heyner. It was a great experience . We will definitely come back!!

Monteverde Ecological Sanctuary is an 8-minute walk from Hostel Cattleya - Monteverde, Costa. The nearest airport is Tambor Airport, 67 km from the property. Amazing price for a single room with shared bathroom! Very clean and well organised. The staff are next-level amazing especially Vanessa. So helpful and friendly! They offer a wealth of info about the area and provide a printed map with all the info you'll need in Santa Elena/Monteverde to either travel independently or do group tours. Their tour options are also very reasonable. They organised a transfer to La fortuna for me which was at the best price. Clean bathrooms and hot showers! Well appointed kitchen.

Dorms, private rooms with shared bathroom and family rooms at the Hostel have a balcony with ocean views. It is a super cool place to relax. They had lots of tour info and spoke English, so communicating was easy. Always kept very clean. Loved that there was a restaurant/bar. Breakfast was great, loved the nachos. Probably our favorite place so far! And we will definitely recommend!
