Casa Pandora Hostel Women Only nằm ở San José, cách Sân vận động Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica 7.5 km và Parque Diversiones 10 km. What a great place! Electronic key entry worked perfectly. Clean and tidy. The private room had a comfortable bed. There are roll down blinds for privacy and to keep the sun out. The fan provides good air movement. The other travelers I spoke with were interesting. Independent traveling women with ages ranging from 20 to 50s. It was fun to share stories.

David and Marta were so helpful and made me feel really welcome.  I stayed for 5 nights in the single room with private bath and balcony. The room felt very private (I rarely and barely heard the people in the dorm next door) and I had everything I needed, including a big fan.  The balcony was great, strong wifi, good breakfast, and the back garden area was so peaceful, both day and night. I felt really safe. It was close to a lot of great places. The China House around the corner has really good food and.  There is a gym across the street where I swam laps twice. (Bring your own swim cap if you can because they are expensive and required!) During the day I walked to the Jade Museum and the National Museum (about 10-15 minutes).  Both are great spots! I took a quick uber to the Butterfly Garden and the nearby Zoo (actually a wildlife refuge, not what I would typically consider a zoo). They were both such peaceful spots to visit nestled into the bustling city. Having Barrio Escalante nearby was great.  I would have walked during the day but usually went at night around 9 or 10, so I took Ubers.  Lots of great restaurants and bars! Jardin de Lolita and Cafeoteca were my favorites.  On my last night, a Friday, I walked around Barrio Escalante. There was so much going on! Also, most of the travelers were in their 20s. I am in my mid to late 40s and felt comfortable. It is not a noisy hostel. Very chill and respectful. Great area to stay in!

Hotel de conveniencia Travesía urbana tọa lạc ở San José, cách Sân vận động Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica 8.6 km và Parque Diversiones 10 km. Small hostel with the family living on premise. They were very kind and accommodating. Everything was kept very clean. Excellent wifi. A good portion of San Jose is a little dangerous these days but this neighhborhood felt quite safe. It has quite a few restaurants (and a good gym) within walking distance but lacks a nearby laundry service and not offered by the hostel. Something to ponder if you plan on staying longer. Bed was comfortable.

I loved everything about this place: the location, big capsule beds ( sound proof and privacy), lockers, clean place, fully equipped kitchen, safe and quiet neighbourhood, breakfast with fruits (pineapple, bananas), coffee, milk, cereals (3 types), tea, bread, jam (2 types) and butter. Good value for money (had a last minute deal), close to a big supermarket (10 minutes by walk), the hosts are super friendly. I enjoyed my stay here and I definitely recommend and will be back when I transit San Jose. Thank you! ❤️

Set in San José, within an 8-minute walk of San Juan de Dios Hospital and 1 km of Metropolitan Hospital Costa Rica, Stray Cat Hostel offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi. I arrived late and had to leave very early the next morning. Staff was very friendly and informative and helped me with finding a bus. I also forgot to change my phone so woke up an hour early so the receptionist made me breakfast an hour early which was very nice of him
