Situated directly on the River Main, this youth hostel has great panoramic views of Frankfurt’s skyline. Haus der Jugend offers a 24-hour reception and relaxing inner courtyard. The hostel is just outside of the city centre and across the river. You cannot miss it! The staff are very friendly, helpful and take the time to assist. I have never been in such a clean hostel in all of my life! The free breakfast was a lovely touch and plenty of choice.

This hostel in Marburg is situated on the upper floors of the main train station, in a quiet central location. Within a 10-minute walk from the Old Town. Everything was clean and functional. Exactly as described on the website.

Just 200 metres from Frankfurt Central Station, this modern hostel is centrally situated in the city’s red light district. It’s very close to the train station, restaurants and landmarks. Kitchen is small, but well stocked. Pool table and lounge downstairs. Nice, big common room and bar.

While I was staying downstairs in my 1st week’s stay (and I was ok with it), I resided upstairs in the second part of my travels. Upstairs is definitely an upgrade in comfort.
