The staff, food, rooftop, nearby laundry, and activities including free walking tour were exceptional. We felt very looked after by the staff, and it was the perfect place to explore old town from. We went in the free walking tour and Paulo was a great guide. We ate market fruit, learned some history, went chocolate tasting and walked through the beautifully preserved old streets.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Hostal Cloud Forest for one night, and it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure everything was perfect for my stay. Their service truly stood out and made me feel right at home. The setting was great, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The accommodations were comfortable, and while the nights can get quite chilly due to the lack of heating, the hostel provides exceptionally warm blankets. Once I was under the covers, I was perfectly cozy and had a great night’s sleep. If you’re looking for a unique and immersive stay on the Quilotoa hiking loop with warm hospitality, The Hostal Cloud Forest is a fantastic choice. I would definitely recommend it to nature lovers and adventurers alike!

The room was comfortable, TV with Netflix, a great hot shower and extremely nice and helpful staff! Would definitely recommend staying here :)

Beds have 4 fleecy blankets on. We had a shared bathroom and you only shared with one other room. Absolutely spotlessly clean! The bathroom was cleaned before we even got up. We had washing done, which was done in just a few hours and smelt great. Breakfast was really good value. Definitely recommend paying a small price for this. The location was good, bars and restaurants close by. Easy to get into the old town. Bus terminal a little but far but very easy to get a bus too. Hotel itself very safe and secure with a gate and locked door which is manned 24/7. Staff very friendly and helpful.
