That’s how we found this accommodation, and it was perfect! Even from the booking photos, I was drawn to its cute and thoughtful design—and I can confirm it looks just as lovely in real life. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a welcoming vibe. The location is fantastic, nestled in a Nubian village with friendly neighbors where we always felt safe. It’s an easy walk to the public ferry for Elephantine Island, just five minutes from Carrefour, and super convenient for catching a public minibus (only 5 EGP!), tuk-tuk, or taxi. Best of all, it’s right next to the Nile—just a few steps away—where you can take a refreshing dip on hot days or enjoy stunning sunsets with feluccas sailing by. The real highlight, though, was the owner, Nia. She was incredibly helpful, always available to answer our many questions—how to get around, which ferry or bus to take, where to find the nearest shop, and even how to travel to other cities. Honestly, we would have been completely lost without her guidance in this lively, fast-paced city! She also helped us book a tour to Abu Simbel at a great price and made everything so easy. I highly recommend this stay!

This beautiful guesthouse hosted by the most wonderful lady has an incredible view of the Nile. The facilities are clean and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and she was kind enough to make us a superb dinner too as we were too tired from our travels to go out. The lovely host is responsive and happy to organise cheap transport for you to go wherever you need in Aswan. It might seem out of the way but the location is perfect for all the sights. I would 100% return here to enjoy the beautiful view, the delicious home cooked food, and the company of the wonderful hostess.

The owner, Mr. Omar (Gandhi) was very helpful, attentive and knowledgable. He helped all of the guests with organizing trips to sights around Aswan and provided useful tips and information about the area and the country as a whole. The staff working there were nice and caring. They made the whole stay a very pleasant experience. The beds where comfortable, there were enough bathrooms and the location was great, just by the Nile. The price was also very reasonable. I'd book this place again without hesitation.

The owner was very helpful and assisted organising a last minute boat trip on the Nile to the Nubian Village - which I highly recommend. I've done it with a motorboat, and it was magical. I wish I could have spent more days here.

Aswan International Airport is 11 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. This is a really unique place to stay. You are on heissa island in a small Nubian community. When you wake up all you can hear is the birds and the Nile lapping at the shore of the island. The host family are really charming and friendly and the area outside is always free to use and relax in the sun. You can swim in the Nile or walk around the island and go to some of the cafes there. We had a really peaceful couple of days. The guest house is quite basic but has everything you need including ac in the rooms. The journey over to the island is also beautiful past Philae temple.
