Bed sheets are clean, the kitchen is clean, and the bathroom was as clean as you'd excpet it at your home! The hostel owner even helped me book a once in a lifetime trip to Abu-Simbel temple. I will definitely stay in this hostel every time I visit Aswan!

It’s a beautiful place, build by a retired mother that worked as a teacher and now wants to leave a bussiness for her two dauthers. You can see the love on the place and wanting to do stuff as good as possible. They have little semiapartments with shared half kitchens (not stove but fridge, a sink, glasses and plates), the room I stayed had a balcony with beautiful views to the nile river, had airconditioning but also a fan, so you can chose. The shower has a heater, and though it has an interesting design just in the middle of the toilet, it works and is very good. The owner incredibly nice, very nice person to talk with. Her dauther is the only one doing Bird watching tours in Aswan (even being featured on the Lonely planet).

He is fast to answer my questions abiut anything, but didn't try at all to push any tour or something like this (what is amazing in Egypt). The place is simple, but very clean. And he even provides simple breakfast, dinner and even laundry. Good hot shower. There is a nice rooptop where you can chill and have your meals. It is impressive how he can provide such a good service for a such low price. The location is a bit far from the touristic center, but super easy to get by local van (4egp) or tuktuk - for us, it was a plus also, we felt better in a non-touristic neighborhood

From start to finish, the Wanees staff was awesome! For a budget hotel, we got 5-star service. Much has been said about superstar Biba, who owns Wanees. She has worked in hospitality, so while she now runs a “hostel” the care guests receive is exceptional. She booked our Nile boat trip, the taxi we needed to get to Cairo and checked in on WhatsApp — after hours and long after we finished paying for her services. A lovely person who truly cares about guests’ experience!
