Very gracious host at check in - great reception, and she explained everything well. The albergue accommodation was very clean and well organized. We did not feel crowded. Spacious outdoor seating as well. Location was perfect for access to the Camino - right outside the property. Dinner and breakfast options were good.

The owner was observant to the point of being astute, adjusted serving portions to my muscle mass without being asked, among other things. Extremely professional, a natural calling.

It’s just next to the cathedral, a lot of pilgrims doing the Camino so a lot of nice conversations :) the kitchen is great as well and with a nice breakfast with fruits available for everyone. Very nice staff as well ! Will definitely book again if back in Oviedo:)

It is a big house with beautiful cozy dorms, clean and generous bathrooms and an overall relaxed atmosphere where you simply feel at home from the very beginning. Feels more like a shared living with wonderful people than being in a hostel. The great garden completes the experience. You will find hammocks there and other places where you can hide with a book if you wish to enjoy some time alone. There is even a small gym area where you can shape your body. Otherwise you can rent bikes and surf tables in order to explore the beautiful beaches which are all very close to the hostel. There is also a nice park just across the street. On a daily basis, Pilates (for free) and surfing lessons (very fair prices) are offered by competent instructors. In any case, the people who work at the hostel are the real treasure of this place. They are all so friendly and extremely helpful and make sure that everyone in the house feels completely at home. I lost my ID card in a surf shop in Gijon on the day I left, and Mareike, the hostel manager, personally restored the ID for me and sent it to my address in Switzerland ! In conclusion: "Gijon Surf Hostel" it is by far the best hostel I've ever been and I recommend everyone to book several nights there!

Very well organized and well run… With only four people in the room it was very nice and quiet and comfortable… Good shower and wash up facilities… Well located in the town… Very kind and wonderful staffs… Would recommend

Alle enheder hos vandrehjemmet har et klædeskab. we loved everything about this place! the staff was very friendly and helpful. the room was super clean and nice. we got a room with terrace and opening to the backyard which was fantastic. the backyard was all green full of places to rest and a very nice atmosphere with candles and lights. the views of the river nalon from the dinning room window were amazing and the food was delicious, traditional and more than enough.
