Spotlessly clean, excellent pilgrim meal and breakfast (including fresh fruit salad and bakers' bread, not the usual cheap sliced rubbish), again at a very fair price, nothing seemed too much trouble. Fantastic showers with pipping hot water. We congratulate the owners on a job very well done.

Providing a bar, the property is located within 25 km of Villa Romana La Olmeda. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. The owners did everything possible to make us comfortable, even fixing us a bocadilla after the kitchen was closed. I had received bad news from home and Daniela knew I was upset. The next day she checked in with me to see if there was anything she could do. The food was excellent, the beds with comfortable with a little shelf and outlet at each bunk. The garden was quiet and comfortable for relaxing. If we do the Camino again, I will make sure to stay here. Daniela made sure that she knew everyone by name.

Located around 22 km from Lake Carucedo, the hostel is also 26 km away from Ponferrada Castle. I loved staying in this hostal for 2 days during my recent Camino. It was clean and spacious and airy - and it had regular beds (no bunk beds). It is just a few minutes walk from the main square in Villafrance del Bierzo. It has a kitchen, but I went out to the restaurants in the immediate area.
