Location is fantastic because it’s directly in front of the bus stop and glued to the supermarket. You can also walk to the Santa Claus Village, the path is beautiful. Important to note: we weren’t able to find the city bus routes in Google maps, but the bus from the city center to the hostel is bus 8 direction Arctic Circle. When returning from the hostel to the rail station, consider the time, it took us more than 45 minutes. We also caught a glimpse of the aurora from the front of the hostel!!! Unfortunately it was too cloudy to see more. Rovaniemi is an expensive place, so this was the most cost effective place we found.

Wherever Mini Hostel is offering accommodation in Rovaniemi. The property is located 200 metres from the bus station and 500 metres from the railway station. Everything was wonderful. May be the price little bit expensive for us. But otherwise wonderful. We took northern lights tour it was very good also.

Offering a sun terrace and sauna, Villa Kemi is located in Kemi in the Lapland Region. Both the the Kemi Snow Castle and Kemi Train Station are within 750 metres of the property. It was very clean, quiet and equipped with all the facilities. The Villa has 2 saunas, 1 kitchen, 1 dining room and fridges in all cameras. Perfect for a holiday.

Hostel Café Koti is located in central Rovaniemi and offers bright and Scandinavian-style rooms and dormitories. Sampokeskus Shopping Center is 500 metres away. Loved that breakfast was included, that was a lovely bonus. The staff were incredible, very responsive and kind. I loved that we had the option to sauna, although unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy it- but it was there nonetheless!

The sink in the room was a plus. Everything was clean and nice. Parking also free and right across the hotel.

Beautiful middle age style building of an old Finnish school, the owner told me the story. Facilities are good and the shared bathroom is perfectly working and clean. Location is perfect to chill and enjoy nature, still very close to the market and the rest of the town (10/15 minutes walk). The sauna is super convenient and free of charge. Rooms are spacious, with big wardrobes, and beds are comfortable. There's also a common room with various sofas and games to share some time with other travellers. The kitchen has everything you may need. The owner was very welcoming and always ready to help and suggest the best activities in the area. Very good price point in the area considering the facilities, everything else is way more expensive, especially for solo travellers that can't afford a 500 euro/night chalet.
