The members of staff are just welcoming, helpful and lovely. The food is tasty and the facility is good enough. It’s also a good location for hikers. I was travelling solo to climb the Scafell Pike and met very nice people here, which made my journey special!

A hostel style bunk room on a farm, the location is great to be out in a peaceful area, yet a short drive to the city and close to the coast.

The YHA Ambleside sits on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It offers a range of budget accommodation and a café serving local food. The staff were caring and helpful in an agreeable and sincere manner. The location is magnificent, situated at the forefront of Lake Windermere. I had a beautiful view of the lake from my dorm room window. The Waterhead Bus Stop is just a 3-minute walk away. Despite not being located on the main high street in Ambleside, this distance adds to its tranquility."

Located in the market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Denton House Hostel is just a 5-minute stroll from Keswick Leisure Centre. I liked how quiet it was even when a team of football boys stayed overnight. There are plenty of clean toilets and showers. The lounge with TV was a great space to relax and catch up with other travelers. Socks & T’s dried quickly in the spacious drying room. There is a lovely private back area for outdoor sitting. The staff were all exceptional. I really like Denton, do would you.
