The rooms at the hostel are fitted with a shared bathroom and bed linen. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. The rooms are basic and clean, with comfortable beds and more than enough blankets to keep us warm. The room had USB type A sockets for charging devices and a thoughtful little shelf to place the devices on near the socket. We ate dinner and breakfast here, the food was plentiful and delicious with a good variety too. There's an incredibly well stocked shop here with everything from snacks, drinks, (including alcohol), locally made art and souvenirs, to occasionally freshly made baked goods such as local biscuits. The staff here were incredibly friendly, between them it was possible to communicate in fluent English, Russian or Georgian. There's also a contact here for a traditional felt making class ran Friday to Sunday by a local internationally renowned artist. Great value, highly recommended.

The units at the accommodation feature air conditioning and a wardrobe. What an enjoyment to stop in Udabno on the way to visit the Monastery of David Garedja. Time seems suspended in this isolated place surrounded by steppes stretching as far as the eye can see. Definitely worth experiencing. The host was welcoming and made our stay very pleasant, and the breakfast was very nice as well.
