Abigail's hostel has private rooms and shared dormitories for budget-conscious travellers. Each room has an en suite shower and toilet. Abigail's has communal areas, free Wi-Fi, free bed linen and imposes no curfew. There is also a self-catering kitchen and vending machines. I booked it last minute because I had trouble with the payment at another hostel. The location is amazing, the facilities were great, IT HAS AN ELEVATOR which was perfect because I had two suitcases. The bathroom and toilet? NOICE. I liked that each had their own space and that they were IN the room. The staff were really nice, and Mr. Gibbs? Super adorable. I wish the beds had courtains, but it was the least of my problems.

Situated in Drogheda and with Bru na Boinne Visitor Centre reachable within 8.5 km, Peggy Moores features a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. The property is located 8.6 km from Monasterboice, 10 km from Sonairte Ecology Centre and 10 km from Dowth. Slane Castle is 16 km away and Hill of Slane is 16 km from the hostel. The staff were immediately helpful, allowing us to check in early as the room was ready, to drop bags while we explored around. They called a taxi for us. Recommended restaurant options. Generally made everything smooth and easy. I wasn't aware that a breakfast was included, so unfortunately we missed that! The beds were very comfortable and the room and attached bathroom were just perfect. It was also surprisingly quiet, being so close to the main shopping streets. Easy walk up the hill from the bus and train station. There's also a great little grocery store just a minute walk from Peggy Moores.
