The location is great walking distance from a lot of places but still not in the super touristy area, also very close to the ferry.

At Crossroads Hostel 1957 all rooms come with a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. Crossroads Hostel 1957 was such a welcoming place to arrive at. Aflah really took care of me on arrival as I was exhausted from a long journey from Kochi and Kozhikode. My room was upgraded and Sundar promptly made me a delicious lunch. In fact Sundar was a master in the kitchen, and all meals are prepared for guests. It is a very chill place to visit, grab a bike or pick a book to read enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Oh and Trance the dog will adopt you immediately, he is so gorgeous.

The bed was very good and comfortable, the room was spacious, everything was very clean, and the best part was the shower! It’s the best shower I’ve ever had in a hostel, and it even has hot water. The location is also good, as it’s at a higher altitude and a bit away from the center, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. It was totally worth staying there to visit Munnar. Highly recommended!
