This was our favorite stay in India! Lucky is a gem, he’s so warm and welcoming and made us feel completely at home. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was so good that we ate almost every meal in the hostel! Lucky made our stay in Jaisalmer more than we could have asked for. We also booked the Desert Safari experience through Lucky which is run by his brother, and we had an amazing time.

Good hostel with neat and clean private room. We booked the triple sharing room and to our surprise the third bed was not a makeshift bed or just a mattress like other hotels. It was a proper single bed with enough space for us to move around. Staff was also polite and helped us with our luggage and shared good tips about Rishikesh.

I'm Australian and visited during the low season and had the most incredible stay — it honestly felt like this family had a magic wand hidden somewhere. Every little problem I brought with me, they solved with such kindness and ease. From helping me get tailored clothes made, to fixing the screen on my phone, to preparing the most delicious meals, to even arranging a local traveler to accompany me to the ghats — they thought of everything. Mohit’s wife cooks the most amazing food, with a huge variety of delicious home-style Indian dishes. I probably ate 70% of my meals here, and every bite was a treat! As a solo woman traveler, I felt completely safe and cared for. When I ran into trouble with a bad Uber driver, they stepped in right away and sorted it out without hesitation. Whatever was on my to-do list, they somehow made it happen. Their home is full of warmth, laughter, and the sweetest little girls you’ll instantly fall in love with. Mohit’s mother also carries such wisdom and clarity in her words that, even when she spoke in Hindi, I found myself understanding. They’re wonderfully creative too — they hand painted uplifting murals to brighten the walls, from a cute panda to a serene Buddha, and they’ve even made cozy seats out of recycled tyre wheels. In the evenings, the open terrace is the perfect place to sit, while doves that have been nesting there for over five years coo gently in the background. The family also runs a small shop, so snacks and drinks are always within easy reach. Compared to the bustle of the city, this place is peaceful and quiet, yet still just a short walk from the Buddhist temples in Sarnath. The rooms are comfortable, with options to suit everyone — from dorms to single rooms and larger family spaces. Truly, this is the BEST place I have ever stayed. Great location, walkable to many of the major sites. The hostel itself is clean comfortable and offers a rooftop cafe with a view. The staff are very helpful and will always be there for any assistance. My friend who needed to attend hospital upon arrival, they quickly arranged someone to go to hospital with her.
