Staying here was one of the highlights of my trip in India, because of how awesome the owner is and the atmosphere he created. From the moment I walked in I was welcomed and invited to drinks and we spent the next few nights hanging out and making music. And if you're planning on going to Sikkim after, the owner is from Sikkim and also has a hostel in Gangtok! Highly recommended. Thank you Karma and Samit!

A beautiful, new hostel where everything is in pristine condition. Relatively close to the bus stand. If I had known how nice it was I probably would have planned to stay an extra day in Siliguri. Had an amazing stay at Hills tale hostel.The location is calm, just walkable from bus stand and market and the owners and staffs were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the dorm room—it was spacious, well-lit, and the beds were super comfortable, offering a great night's sleep. The room was also kept very clean, and there were lockers for securing valuables. It was a perfect environment for relaxing after a day of exploring. I would definitely recommend Hills tale for anyone looking for a fun, social experience on a budget. I’d happily stay here again.

The staff is friendly and the premises super clean. Would surely visit again.

Sunny is very kind and helpful, he helped us to find a good ride to the guesthouse in the late night after our train was delayed. Also gave us many tips and welcomed us in our late arrival and made us feel like home. The room was clean and comfortable and everything that we asked we received with a smile

I checked many places before choosing this hostel, and I’m really glad I did. The location is excellent, and I felt safe in the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and helpful, they let me check in early and also store my bag after check-out. I stayed in the female dormitory and everything was clean and comfortable. A solid choice for anyone visiting Kolkata.
