This Icelandic horse farm provides accommodation in Haukadalur Valley, 90 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik. Overlooking Geysir, it offers a guest lounge, garden and horse riding tours. Geysir Hestar is a wonderful place to stay when you are doing the golden circle. A cosy welcoming guesthouse in the countryside, you can see the geysir area from your window - and islandic horses. Located within the famous Golden Circle sightseeing trail, Héradsskólinn Historic Guesthouse overlooks Lake Laugarvatn, Hekla Volcano and the Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. Second time I've stayed here, won't be the last. Amazing building. Great breakfast. Quick walk over to Laugarvatn Fontana Spa. Came in late January for the quiet atmosphere. Fabulous interior design. Easy check-in. Fast wi-fi.
