We had an amazing experience in Pontebba thanks to the wonderful hosts who gave us good recommendations and a nice chat.

Hosts are extremely friendly, we even got a breakfast for our dog Ksena :) if you're having second thoughts, don't hesitate to book this place. For my wife, it was actually her very first hostel experience. She said, “Your first hostel is like your first «love» you never forget it.” And I think she’s right. If all hostels were like this one, people would have a totally different impression. Normally, when you think about a hostel, you imagine noise, alcohol, dirt, and discomfort. But here it felt like we just came to visit friends or family. Katja, the owner, has been running this place for many years, and she created it in memory of her grandmother, Mamma Minka. You can literally feel that love in every single detail — every note on the wall, every corner. It’s all filled with warmth, memories, and respect for her grandmother. And I have to mention the cleanliness: it’s absolutely spotless. You can walk barefoot everywhere, not a single hair, not a speck of dust. For those who are super picky about cleanliness — relax, this place is perfect. The energy of this hostel is incredible. Breakfast is made with love, and Katja herself is amazing — she gave us great advice on where to go, what to see, and shared stories that made us feel so welcome. At first, we chose this hostel because other options were too expensive. But now, after staying here, we know that even if we have plenty of other choices next time, we will definitely come back to Katja’s.

Life Hostel Slovenia is situated in Radovljica, 41 km from Ljubljana. There is a restaurant on site and guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Some rooms feature views of the mountain or a city park. Location made it easy access for day tripping to bled and bohinj lakes. Staff were very helpful

Great stay - great value for money - went skiing in Slovenia - would super highly recommend for a weekend and beginners on a budget
