Guest house tokonoma on yugeshima and the 3 islands its connected was by far the highlight of our holiday. Forget about the shimanami kaido. Go to yugeshima, ride the loop there and do the yumeshima kaido and disappear into a real life ghibli movie. These 4 connected islands are absolutely stunning and so serene and quiet they dont even have traffic lights. The people are so kind, the views are breathtaking, and you are virtually the only tourist! This is a very rare experience. Yasu san is a great host, he helped us get the most out of the short time we had on the islands and he’s just overall a very nice person. The guests were great to, good vibes all around.

Roku Hostel Hiroshima has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Hiroshima. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.7 km from Hiroshima Station. Everything was great. At the beginning I thought it was far from the center, but it turned out to be very close to everything. It’s only 15 minutes from Hiroshima Shrine, and from there another 15 minutes to the memorial. There is also a direct bus to the center if you don’t want to walk. The family running the hostel is very friendly, and it’s just a 1-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, which was very convenient for drinks and snacks. There’s also a larger supermarket about 3 minutes away with really good sushi boxes.

Tottori Airport is 21 km away. Owner is a super friendly and chill guy, great to have drinks with. The room i stayed in was a traditional one with tatami floors and a futon bed; both weren't too hard yet comfortable enough.

An ideal location close to the station, it was great for our 1 night's stay (we visited the Adachi Art Museum).

Hostel Mallika is located in the Hiroshima City Centre district in Hiroshima, 400 metres from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and 700 metres from Atomic Bomb Dome. Hostel Mallika features free WiFi throughout the property. One of the best stays I have ever had. Everything was perfect. The hostels is really clean, spacious and it’s really near the Peace Memorial Park. You can even leave your baggage when you’re checking out, in case you want to check something before leaving Hiroshima. The staff is really kind and explains everything
