More traditional home style which I preferred. Toru was very nice, helpful, and informative. I liked the nice shared common space that made a communal feeling even though you had a private room. I slept very well!

A 5-minute walk from Higashiyama Subway Station, Guest House Ga-Jyun features free Wi-Fi at the entire property. The wooden terrace has chairs overlooking the garden. We are small house with 5 rooms. What a place! My stay at Guest House Ga-Jyun was truly comfortable. It is not a big space, but you don't feel cramped in there either. Spacious common room facilitates contacts with other travelers. Breakfast was delicious, neatly and freshly prepared, with various food to choose from. Helpful staff, answering not only your questions, but having an interesting conversations with you. Lastly, how not to mention Jiro? A friendly guardian of this place, he adds unique vibes.

A 15-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Yasaka Shrine, Guest House Gojo offers simple and cosy Japanese-style dormitory accommodation with free Wi-fi, futon beds and shared bathrooms. Wonderfull place! Very cool environment, clean spaces, comfortable room and bed - where I had the best nigh sleeps of the trip so far - and very nice staff. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Kyoto.

This place is better than in looks on the pictures! I would say it’s a hidden technological gem (everything is automated, even doors closes by themselves) plus there is home warm atmosphere. Shin - owner of the place was extremely nice to us and it feels that the place was made with love We are looking forward to come back to Kyoto and stay here again
