Set in Fujikawaguchiko, less than 1 km from Lake Kawaguchi, HOSTEL MICHIKUSA-YA offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Place is very clean, owner speaks English and is very helpful and considerate. The dormitory has 12 people capacity but it is not fully used on purpose, in order to keep the place comfortable for all guests. The Mt Fuji view from the shared space/garden is spectacular in the morning, on a clear day (see my pic). Hostel is located in a quite neighborhood a bit out of the tourist attractions, 15-20 minutes walk from the bridge. I stayed there for two nights and rented a bike for 2 days so I can ride back to the hostel. Would definitely stay again.

Spacious rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows - probably the best ones we've slept on during our entire Japan trip!. Also loved the shower rooms, lots of space! Great location as well. 30 minute walk from the train station and also very close to the lake. They also offer free bikes which was a nice touch!

Traditional looking Hostel close to the JR station, but also offers car parking (and plenty of parking nearby too!). Looks clean and new. The staff are lovely. The rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms and baths are clean and lovely. You use a booking system… do it is private or family use.

Room is clean and comfortable to stay, mattress is super comfy. We had a very good sleep for the night. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. We were late for our bus to Mishima station for Kyoto, and rooms were fully booked on the day, fortunately the host helped us to make resevation at nearby hotel. We had a lovely experience. Highly reccomend this place.

The hostel also offers bike hire and luggage storage. A launderette and towels are available. No meals are served at the property. The owner was very nice! There was a mix up with the rooms and we had a late check in but the posted number worked and he fixed it immediately! It was very clean and professional and the other guests were all very nice when we met in the common areas!

The units come with a fridge, microwave, a kettle, a bidet, a hairdryer and a desk. All rooms are fitted with a safety deposit box and selected rooms will provide you with mountain views. All guest rooms at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. Everything was great, the host was very friendly and made us a delicious breakfast each morning. The location is great with very good access to train and bus. The views around the area are beautiful. I would recommend it.

The property is non-smoking and is set 3.5 km from Fuji-Q Highland. Had my own personal space. Wasn't large but still ways better than a capsule, with a TV and Tatami mats to boot.

Certain units at the property feature a balcony with a mountain view. 10/10 .. very easy to find, just take the bus from kawaguchiko st (green line) to st number 3. Room was spacious, clean, easy check in and out process. The toilet smell so so nice. Overall highly recommended.
