Very well presented property with fully equipped kitchen (and best supermarket we found in Japan just down the road, a rare opportunity to stock up on fresh fruit and veg). Plenty of space and balcony for sitting outside. Options for tatami mat or western beds. Easy for transport just opposite the station, but also easy walk to the wooden bridge.

Family of 4 stayed in Taurus room for 6. Excellent stay! Big thanks to the team! You won’t find a better staff! The lodge owners take care of their staff and the staff took great care of us! Daily breakfast and shuttles to local mountains were the perfect way to start each day! Shuttle: Staff was very accommodating when we wanted rides to restaurants and the walk back was reasonable; 25 minutes was the longest walk and was quite pleasant even in a light snow. Location: there are 10 ski resorts that are all different, so unless you wanted to stay on one and stay there, the location doesn’t really matter. We went to several different and the shuttle system the lodge runs was great! Starfall was also a 10 minute walk one way to the bus terminal and 10 the other to the train. Room was great! Beds were comfortable and plenty of space in our room. Closet had a waist high shelf perfect for a full size suitcase and more. Lots of hangers. Warm heater. Facilities were awesome-we had two daughters (9, 13) with us. They were very comfortable and had a great time with the staff. There are 6 toilets in private set ups. Never had to wait to use the bathroom. The two showers were also great. Warm outer rooms to undress/dress and spacious showers with two shower heads; nice hot water! We never had to wait for a shower either. Dry room: very helpful and had our ski gear nice and toasty in the AM! If anything, the room was a little hot while getting ready, but we just stepped out onto the covered porch to finish dressing for the slopes! Overall-can’t recommend enough!

The room and the public spaces were always neat. The staff are pleasant and very accommodating. The general vibe was exceptional, including amongst other guests. I’m a solo female traveler and stayed in the mixed dormitory but I had 0 discomfort. The host runs several shuttles in the mornings to drop off patrons in the morning, so we can then take the town shuttle to get to different ski resorts etc, as well as evening shuttles to pick you up from town and take you back to the guesthouse.

Hostel Yui-an encontra-se em Nagiso, a 8,4 km de Kotoku-ji Temple, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito, um salão partilhado e um terraço. Extremely friendly staff, especially if you speak japanese. Delicious food, breakfast and dinner. Shuttle service for when you arrive in Nagiso is very good. Unbelievably comfy space, all traditional japanese style.

1166 Backpackers localiza-se em Nagano, a cerca de menos de 1 km de Templo Zenkoji e 2,5 km de Estação Ferroviária de Nagano. Staff is genuinely fantastic. I managed to share some time with each one and now treasure wonderful moments. The location of this place is certainly a highlight, as it is close to the temple, main street, many restaurants and bus stations.

O Morino Lodge está localizado apenas a 10 minutos a pé da gôndola do Happo One Ski Resort. Hotel is very good, their staff so good. Rooms is very good and comfortable.

Guest House Kura encontra-se em Suzaka, a 1,9 km de Jardim Zoológico de Suzaka e a 14 km de Templo Zenkoji. O alojamento dispõe de acomodações com um salão partilhado e estacionamento privado... As someone whos stayed in over 50 accomodations while backpacking latin america and currently making my way through asia- guest house kura has to be one of my favorite. The guest house has all the feeling to it that you’d hope to experience on a trip to japan. The most beautiful combination of traditional Japanese architecture, paper walls, sliding doors, single pane glass windows, a garden in the back, Futons on the floor. Beyond the physical aspects, though, marina and momokas presence are what make the guest house exactly what it is. It feels more like a family than place you sleep. Their warmth and presence of sanctuary seep into the days that you’re there, and before you know it you’re saying goodbye not to strangers. Thank you for having me, and if not nothing else next time I’m in Japan I’ll return to Nagano solely for guest house kura
