My party of 5 total stayed only one night when hiking the Magome to Nagiso section of the Nakasendo. Proximity to train station and Nakasendo trail was the original selling point, but we fell in love with the place as soon as our host toured us around. It feels like staying at an artsy bed and breakfast, except you provide the breakfast and you get the entire place to yourself. There's small, delightful touches of personality and hospitality every where you look. We did not want for anything. Our sweet host met us at the front door to enter data from our passports and then gave us a walk through of the building. Two toilets and two showers was perfect for a group of 5. Fridge and other kitchen appliances work great. We listened to the CD disc player on the wall while reading the books and it was a lovely experience.The futons were placed very thoughtfully according to our parties needs. In addition to the trail and train station, there's a grocery store, a historic bridge and a cafe all within a couple minutes walk. The patios were a great hang out spot and we saw monkeys near the river around 7am. Honestly, I wish we had stayed longer but our plans dictated we move on. Next time we will try to book a few more nights so we can explore the area more!

Starfall Lodge disponibiliza acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e quartos em Hakuba, a 9 km de Estância de Esqui de Tsugaike Kogen e a 44 km de Estação Ferroviária de Nagano. great location, reasonable walking distance to most things you need. great, clean rooms and shared facilities. brekky exactly what you need before heading out to the slopes. staff were welcoming, friendly and super helpful. went out of their way to shuttle us to pick up hire gear (twice), even to dinner once and out to the mountains every morning. their recommendations for restaurants, mountains, hire gear and everything in between were spot on.

Best place in Japan by far. I had a fantastic time at the Bohemian Shelter. Gaspard is an incredible host making everyone feel at home and super helpful. It's been definatly the highlight of my Japan trip! Highest possible recommendation! Thank you for your hospitality, kindness and all the lifts :)

Staff were so welcoming and arranging. Being able to have a free lift before check in was massively helpful. The location at the bottom of the slopes of Tsugaike is perfect too. A really positive and warm atmosphere - I highly recommend staying there!

Very helpful staff who really want to make sure you have the best time in Nagano! They made sure we knew all of our food and entertainment options. They made coffee, accommodated our luggage needs, and even helped us learn a little Japanese. I Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy, social accomodation.

Guest House Kura encontra-se em Suzaka, a 1,9 km de Jardim Zoológico de Suzaka e a 14 km de Templo Zenkoji. O alojamento dispõe de acomodações com um salão partilhado e estacionamento privado... Guest House Kura was my first time as a solo traveler, and I felt right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made me feel safe. We even had a party there, and it was the best place to meet new people and experience traditional house living with a Futon bed. Overall, it was the best experience I’ve had so far!
