Just 200 metres from Nara Park, Nara Backpackers offers affordable accommodation with free Wi-Fi. The traditional, 100 year-old house includes a modern free-use kitchen with microwave. It was the second time we stayed here. We enjoyed everything. A true Japanese experience. Good location, good services.

The owner was very accommodating and attentive to our needs, offering a bright, clean and spacious common kitchen that exceeded our needs to prepare dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch.

Open in 2017, Nara Deer Hostel- - Nara Old Town -英語予約限定 is located just a 5-minutes walk from JR Nara Station and an 8-minutes walk from Kintetsu Nara Station. Forgot an envelope with 10,000 inside of it. The staff bank transferred the money within a few hours at their own expense (for transfer charge). The stay in its entirety was great.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in during the last couple of months. Everything is impeccably clean. Reception guy is friendly and making a real effort to keep everything tidy. A free towel is provided (along with earplugs, a toothbrush, and a razor). There's a water dispenser, free tea and coffee, and a fridge to store your food. The location is great, very close to Deer Park. I also appreciated the female washroom with its stronger water pressure 😜
