The dorm beds were actual mattresses, so they were very comfortable, and the bunks came with many sockets and accessories (fan, light, clothes line, tissues). It’s a refurbished house, so it felt very cozy. It was comfortable and I enjoyed talking to other guests and the owner. It was a superb stay, one of the best guesthouses I’ve ever stayed at! We spent 2 nights there and our stay was comfortable. Our room was big, the beds comfortable. The kitchen is nice and it has everything one need for preparing meals. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely. The surrounding area is beautiful. Overall one of the best hostels I stayed in Japan.

The guest house is located in an ideal location for exploring the fabulous old Uchiko houses, in short, thoroughly recommended.
