The location was beautiful, had a great view from our room. All necessary amenities were present in the common area. But what delighted us the most was the warm and welcoming host who knew everything about the area, and helped us with a lot of places in our itinerary in Japan. We had come a little early for the sakura season but told us exactly the place where we could see the full bloom. Even many local people we met weren't aware of that. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Shimoda. Thank you for your incredible hospitality 🙏🏻

Icchan and his family's hostel was the perfect place for our stay in Nagoya - so convenient to the train station and supermarkets. Perfect for our family with two kids. The standout though was Icchan's wonderful help and recommendations which made our exploration of Nagoya so much more enjoyable and interesting. He even saved me from heading to the wrong airport with the kids when we departed which would have been a complete disaster. We will definitely come back again and recommend the Glocal to all our family and friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay Icchan!

The facility is little old, but very clean and the staff is very attentive and considerate.. we will definitely go back.. its like youre staying at the house of a japanese family back then. The toilet is old style but no problem at all.. the water is clean the bed sheets and bath is clean the kitchen stuffs also..
