Don't be too worried about the safety of your personal belongings because there is a large enough safety deposit box inside your pod which you can fit your wallet, a macbook 13 inch. Not a DSLR for sure. There is space to put ur bag inside the pod too. But the luggage has to be put outside. Just lock it and it will be fine. Kei san has been really friendly and accommodating . Really appreciated his time to chat with me!

So clean, they clean everyday and it’s always spotless. The host is so lovely. Her dog is so cute and friendly too! Sometimes he’ll greet you at the door, this meant so much to me especially when I was missing my dog at home. The neighborhood is AMAZING. I love Koenji so much. A perfect, calm getaway from the city with still plenty of things to do. Great restaurants, thrifting, karaoke, parks, and Japanese vibes. Also Nakano is a 20 min walk away and they have a mall with Uniqlo and everything else you’d need. It’s easy to meet other people and make friends! Women-only was awesome and made me feel really safe. I can’t wait to go back and spend my entire Japan trip here. I shouldn’t have bothered with any other hotels. Nothing compares to Grapehouse Koenji!

We had some health related issues and our host Isa helped us very well to find a doctor that could speak English and called several hospitals, really appreciated!

It was very close to 3 train stations and was well connected to the rest of the city. The staff were also incredibly friendly and offered a welcoming environment. They always made an effort to speak to me and they are great resources for recommendations.

The atmosphere was welcoming and I had a stay which exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely return at some point to stay again.
