Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. Highly curated space, traditional setting with modern upgrades. We stayed in the second building- well equipped with heating in the shared spaces and the guestroom had a separate heater and secondary double glazed sliding windows to keep the warmth in. Option to rent bikes for 500yen per day.

We stayed at a beautiful traditional Japanese room with beds on the floor which were very comfortable to my surprise. The bathrooms/shower space was big and clean and the guy in the reception was kind and very helpful. There was also an option to take a bike (for free) which was great and allowed us to easily explore the area.

Fuji itself. The Fujiyoshida Fire Festival is also worth checking out. Breakfast was also delicious. I would come back.

Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel se află în Fujiyoshida, la aproximativ 3,5 km de Fujikyu Highland și la 7,8 km de Lacul Kawaguchi. Excellent, it was a wonderful experience to stay there, we like the Japanese style room with tatami room, and have a sight of mount fuji from our window view. And the location is near by Shimoyoshida Street just 3min walk with not crowded and have a clearly mount fuji view in the early morning. Kindly and polite host to guide us. We are not regret to stay here.

This hostel is an absolute hidden gem! Fuji looking at you through every window, amazing charming rooftop, fantastic kitchen facilities, comfy beds-the pillow could be better. So so clean everywhere.
