There are multiple buildings with dormitory-type rooms, and BMA is renting out such spare rooms. When I was there, no students were in the building I stayed in, which probably had hundreds of rooms. The rooms are small, perhaps 100 square feet. The facility is gated and has guards, but the place is sprawling, quasi-industrial in certain regards, and deserted in the evenings after students left. Given its location, guests need to take tuk-tuks or cabs, easy to get, to visit attractions. Within the facility, I had periodic access to two nice swimming pools and the cafeteria. My room had a balcony that overlooked a channel, where boats came and went at all times. For certain travelers, such as myself, the setup is perfect but it is certainly not right for everyone.

I arrived late at night and she served me some of her homemade food because I was hungry. The next morning when I was tired I was worried about check out time. She told me not to worry and helped me in anyway she could.
