The place is spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a beautiful garden, a shared kitchen, and cozy little spaces for reading or relaxing. Books are everywhere, free tea and coffee are always available, and the whole space feels warm and welcoming — more like staying in someone’s home than at a guesthouse. The real highlight, though, is Udaya. He’s one of those rare hosts who genuinely cares. From small details to big arrangements, he always made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Even after I left Kandy, he helped me organize a fantastic driver for my onward trip and kept in touch to make sure all was going smoothly — such a thoughtful gesture. The location is great too: peaceful and quiet, but still an easy walk into the city and close to all the main sights. I left feeling not just rested but uplifted by the kindness and positivity here. And considering everything that’s included, the value is incredible. If you’re heading to Kandy, I can’t recommend Eden Kandy enough — it’s the kind of place you’ll remember long after you’ve left.

Every sightseeing is in walking distance and its the perfect place to take a walk and enjoy the day. The family was super lovely and nice, could‘nt ask for more. It felt like a little SriLanka Home. They will also help you with everything and show you around places. Was one of my best stays while travelling!

A rustic tucked away little space in Sigiriya. Costa took us to some amazing hidden spots and helped us through booking a scooty and getting everything sorted. Loved our stay here. In addition to the material things, the hosts Jeewani and Ayeshika were also great. We had great conversations and thanks to their warm nature, we were able to relax well.

And helped me with some advice on my future travels on local buses. Very grateful, thank you. The hostel is cosy and clean with the amazing location. Would highly reccomend.

The place is spotless, and the breakfast provided is delicious.I felt very safe during my stay. I can't wait to return on my next visit to Kandy! Highly recommended!

At the hostel, the rooms have a patio with a garden view. Every room includes a safety deposit box and certain rooms will provide you with pool views. The units at Funk Bunks - Sigiriya feature air conditioning and a desk. I love their cabin consepts! So fun and authentic. Everything was comfy and clean. Its not that far from the rocks, i dont mind walking. Everyone was very nice and lovely, we looked tired upon arriving and they brought us tea to settle down before checking in. They helped alot with booking reasonable priced tuktuks which is nice consider the locals always try to up the price to tourists.
