The stuff (specially Udaya) , was always willing to help. Really kind people. The garden is amazing. Comfy beds. Nice terrace to meditate and contemplate de view. I would have stay longer if I hadnt had to go to Clmbo extend my visa. In my experience , the best accomodation in Sri Lanka so far. =)

If you're looking for an authentic Sri lankan experience and wanna be treated more as a friend rather than a guest, choose Jungle Host Hostel. Chooti and Diva - the hosts, took good care of me and showed me some secret places around. We had so much fun spotting elephants at night, watching plenty of sunsets and sunrises. I think I also learned a lot about the Sinhala culture cause it was a bit like a Couchsurfing experience. I met some great travellers in the hostel! It was definitely my best stay in Sri Lanka and I'm grateful for that. The rooms are also very nice and clean.

When an elephant entered their garden at night, the host took a great care of our safety, but let us have a glimpse of it. The family was chatty with a good energy, ready to answer any questions about the stay.

The vibes were super nice, the hosts made a community vibe and made you feel very welcome and in a family with everyone. It was the best decision to start my solo trip here as it already helped me meet people. The room is small but enough. It has a ventilator for the upper beds and another for the lower beds. The toilet and shower were very clean. The beds were comfy and pillows as well. They provide the bed sheeting. The kitchen!!! They have a small kitchen and it was gret for preparing breakfast and coffe and eating together with the rest of the people. They have hammocks and beds to chill everywhere, so the name fits very well ❤️‍🩹

Amazing house (I would say mansion), where I stayed for less than 5$. Simply in the middle of the jungle, with a super nice garden, a room in the house of that family was huge and super confortable. Really much better in real than in the pictures. I just stayed one night, but I think it would be better to stay more nights in the middle of the jungle and that luxurious acommodation. I was really positive dissapointment as for the price (I am backpack) i didn't expect too much and I was like in a 5 stars hotel

The mother and daughter than run this place are amazing. Really kind, providing an amazing breakfast and they have put so much love in the decoration of this place. If you have the time really book the cooking course given by the daughter, the food we got to make and eat was amazing. Definitely recommend going here!

I’m from Japan!! This was such a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, and above all, the people are amazing. Kani is extremely friendly and kind. He did so many things for me!! I also admire his way of thinking—he truly values encounters and connections with people. You can see it not only in his words, but also in his actions. Thank you for the precious experience in Sigiriya!! Highly recommended!!! Some people may think it’s a bit far from Sigiriya Rock, but actually the entrance is on the west side, and I believe this is one of the few places within walking distance around there.

The room is simple and very comfortable, with clean and cozy beds that made for a good night’s sleep. Bathrooms are well maintained and tended to daily, which we really appreciated. The facilities are straightforward, but everything worked smoothly, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The location is excellent just a short distance from the city centre, making it easy to explore Kandy, yet still quiet enough to enjoy some peace. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast each morning was a highlight delicious, generous, and a great start to the day. For the price this hostel offers exceptional value. Clean, convenient, and filled with genuine hospitality it felt more like staying with friends than in a hostel. We would definitely choose to stay here again when we return to Kandy.
