The units at Funk Bunks - Sigiriya feature air conditioning and a desk. I love their cabin consepts! So fun and authentic. Everything was comfy and clean. Its not that far from the rocks, i dont mind walking. Everyone was very nice and lovely, we looked tired upon arriving and they brought us tea to settle down before checking in. They helped alot with booking reasonable priced tuktuks which is nice consider the locals always try to up the price to tourists.

The host was incredible – he ordered and organised things for us, gave us loads of tips about the local area, and even went above and beyond when my friend left her bag at a bus stop. He actually tracked it down and drove it back to us! His whole family were so kind and welcoming, which made us feel completely at home. Breakfast was amazing every morning, and the beds were huge double bunks, super comfy after a long day exploring. Honestly, the host and his family made the trip for us – such a special place to stay

As a solo female traveller, Diwa made me feel safe and welcome, and helped me to plan my itinerary. He also took me on a tour which was very informative. Highly recommend.

The place is impeccably clean and well-maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of his way to ensure a pleasant stay and offering great tips for local attractions. The traditional breakfast served each morning was absolutely delicious – a perfect start to the day! The hostel is located in a peaceful area, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere, yet still close enough to everything you need. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and quiet place to stay. We would definitely come back!
