The beds were soooo comfortable, and they were real beds not bunk beds, the roof was very high, and the sleeping room was clean, for the showers the water was hot,and they were cleaned regularily, and the socialising room looked like a phenomenal pinterest room for me, it has a variety of beautiful collected stuff, woody furniture everywhere, and beautiful peranakan tiles and design, booklets about penang and a collection of books, and a piano, a working one. I enjoyed staying in the socialising room, to the point that I started thinking that I should buy a house similar to that and settle there, The owner was so kind and helpful, and he came regularly to clean the house, and the location of the hostel was perfect close to anything you may ever need. I just loved this house, it felt like a real warm home, not a mere hostel, and I met lots of sweet girls there, what a wonderful experience! I wish there were more only females hostels like this one in every city.

The beds: spacious. The personnel: so friendly and inviting. The vibes: peaceful and many social activities. It was truly amazing.

You can always come back to take a short rest during your trip (which requires a lot of walking under the heat of the sun haha). The queen room is on the first floor so I didn’t have any trouble bringing my big luggage in. Also, the cleanliness (for room, kitchen, living room, and bathroom) is top-notch! Shane is very communicative, responds quickly, and helped me a lot during my stay. Please keep it as amazing as it is. I’ll definitely recommend this property to anyone who would like to stay in Penang, and I would go back again if I could.

The host is very helpful. our flight was very late. but he was waiting for us till the midnight. gave us useful information. The hostel is like traditional penang old house. looks like a museum. Clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet, modern with all necessary facilities. Dorms have no windows but it did not bother me as they are spacious enough. AC works perfectly. Communication with the staff was smooth and helpful.

Aayu Chulia - Chulia St, George Town tọa lạc ở George Town, cách Trung tâm mua sắm Penang Times Square 1.8 km và Trung tâm mua sắm Straits Quay 7.7 km. The common areas and the room is clean, very safe and budget friendly for solo travelers like me. Tourist attractions are near, the staff are friendly and very responsive. I requested an early check and they were able to do so. Thank you so much I will definitely go back again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Aayu sekchuan. The building has a lovely heritage charm but feels modern and well-kept inside. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is super convenient, with lots of food, cafes, and sights within walking distance. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in Penang!
