The atmosphere was wonderful: really calm, relaxed, and quiet. At night, the area is very quiet and it's easy to rest. There's a comfortable sitting area, and a basic kitchen with a fridge and water and kettle for making tea and coffee. The area is great for walking around colonial George Town. Everything is in easy walking distance, and lots of food options are nearby. MK is a great host.

I loved the shared area, it felt like home. The room was also large, clean, and had fast Wi-Fi. Honestly, it was the best place I’ve stayed for a one-night stay. I originally booked it just to sleep before heading to the airport, but I’d definitely stay longer. Highly recommended, great value for the price!

I feel so lucky to have had the chance to stay here for 3 nights—it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Even though I came as a solo backpacker, I never felt alone. I ended up meeting two amazing foreigners during my stay, and we connected instantly. The environment is clean, hygienic, and very well maintained. The washrooms are spotless, the laundry area is convenient, and the public space is super comfortable—perfect for relaxing or chatting with other travelers. This hostel gave me not only a safe and comfy place to stay, but also meaningful memories and new friendships. I highly recommend it to any solo female traveler out there. I’d easily rate it 10/10!

Clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet, modern with all necessary facilities. Dorms have no windows but it did not bother me as they are spacious enough. AC works perfectly. Communication with the staff was smooth and helpful.

It was super clean and so far best accommodation I had in Malaysia on a low budget. The owners were also super nice. When we had an issue they quickly responded, helped and accommodated us. The owner also stepped by to check up on us and gave us a great list of recommendations for Penang.

The first thing you will notice upon arrival is the friendly smiles from the staff. The hostel is spotlessly clean, everything appears to be cleaned a couple of times a day and well equipped kitchenette. It's affordable making it budget friendly for all solo traveller.
