We really enjoyed our time at Rancho Esperanza, and wished we had allotted more time for this neck of Nicaragua! Gwen, Tom and Anna were wonderful hosts, with clear communication, absolutely delicious food and a wonderful location right on the beach. The pole cabin was very clean, had a great little porch for us to chill out on and the room fan was very powerful:). We liked how there were surf boards and boogie boards for rent (10 and 5 per day, respectively), how cold drinks were a quick one-minute walk down the road and how the menu was quite extensive for such an out-of-the-way location. We had the beach all to ourselves every time we went out!

Gorgeous location, right near the Pacific. The beach was wild and undeveloped. The owner, Isabel, was friendly and always ready to help. She made us feel very welcome.
