Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. One of the nicest hostels I've been to! I loved the location, very beautiful building, and the terrace overlooking the bay is the perfect spot to have breakfast! Shout-out to the staff! They were so nice and helpful (especially Luciano), as a solo traveler it is much appreciated. The bathrooms and showers were clean, the dorms as well.

Rotorua Downtown Backpackers is a modern hostel is located in the heart of Rotorua across the road from the I-Site and major bus lines. Great staff, Julian was very friendly and made us feel at home! The accommodation was clean and fresh.

Located on a quiet street opposite Blake Park, Seagulls Guesthouse offers free fibre WiFi and is a 5-minute walk from Mount Maunganui Beach. basic but clean and not a far drive to wharf and business district streets. quiet, security good . Kitchen area and lounge area were fine, good for a short stay .
