Amazing location, super comfortable beds, everything was nice and clean. This was one of my favorite stays of my trip, I almost wished I had a longer stay. They also had a bit of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack weaved into the mix of music playing and I LOVED IT. Nice quiet songs I think even a non fan could appreciate and just alternated in there a bit with their other music. For me it created such an amazing atmosphere. If I ever manage to make my way back to Tekapo I'd love to stay here again

Set in a refurbished 1874 building, Jailhouse Accommodation offers an on-site café and a guest lounge with a cinema projector. It is 10 minutes’ walk from Christchurch Railway Station. Very unique and interesting property. I really enjoyed the history of being a real jail in the past and the whole “prisoner theme”

We only stayed one night, but WOW—it left a mark. Super close to the city center, with all the must-see spots just a stroll away. 🚶‍♀️✨ And the staff? Total rockstars! Always there with a smile, ready to help with info or fulfill any request like magic. 🪄 If you're looking for the perfect place to stay, this is IT!
