Booked last minute (almost 8pm) because I got delayed and couldn't make it to my destination on time, and Sandra went out of her way to message me all the details and made sure I checked in all right. Facilities were great and kept spotlessly clean. Located in the quiet part of town which is perfect, And I do not exaggerate when I say they have THE BEST PILLOWS I've ever slept on. I actually made sure I bought the exact same pillow this Labour weekend sale LOL. And the best thing about this hotel is that you get a welcoming party in the form of a friendly ginger feline, who will greet you as you come out of your car (at midnight) and guide you to the front door all the way to your room! Swear to God, it really happened. You guys should feature the cat as an official mascot, and see the bookings come pouring in! :)

Really nice hostel, loved the common area to chat with people. Kitchen and dining area is big enough, room and bed really spacious with personal lighting and space for chargers etc

Based by the Lake offers basic dormitory-style rooms or private guest bedrooms with ensuite facilities. All of the accommodation is clean and modern and linen is included. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the ensuite bathroom was a real plus, everything was super clean and the location really central. Would definitely recomend!
