Located in Turangi, Riverstone Lodge, a 5-star hostel, offers a shared kitchen, a shared lounge and free WiFi. The property provides garden views and a terrace. Best place I stayed in all of New Zealand!! Sandra is incredibly kind and helpful. Riverstone was a great base to wait out the weather to hike the tongariro crossing. The place itself is super clean and cozy, and has a nice patio to enjoy the sun and a well equipped kitchen.

It has everything you need and in the middle is a nice garden with hammocks where you can relax. The staff is very friendly and Ian is an amazing guy who really cares about the visitors and wants to help you in every way possible. Planned going there for only 1 night but it became 3 nights because it's hard to leave that place (in a positive way 😉)

Backpackers Central Hamilton offers accommodation in the centre of Hamilton, less than 5 minutes' walk from local shops, restaurants and cafes. Free WiFi and free lockers are provided. Safe - key cards for room and doors. Clean - kitchen was clean, utensils were clean (could do with a drying rack though. Toilets are clean as well! Comfortable - beds are comfortable. On the double bunk bed, it wasn’t too high so doesn’t feel too high and unstable. Free parking as well! Location close to city centre as well! Park nearby for you to go on walks as well! Walkable to the closest Pak n Save as well!
