This beautiful seaside accommodation provided everything and more than I expected. I decided to book the first three nights to rest after catching an illness and I ended up spending five nights there because it was so peaceful and homely; it honestly felt like recuperating at my own house. The room was comfy, warm and clean, the toilets spotless and the showers hot and roomy. The kitchen is modern and really well equipped, especially for such a small place. It had everything and beyond of what I needed. The lounge is super cozy and has a great view of the seaside while the garden is a great place to enjoy a meal in the sun. All of the staff were super friendly and the owner kept on checking how I was feeling which I found really nice. Not to mention the value, which is beyond great for what you get, with a great location and comfortable stay. Overall, it is thanks to Moana Lodge that I'm back on the road so quickly and I'll never forget my time there.

Guest rooms offer simple interiors and are fully heated. Toilet and bathroom facilities are shared. The location is great because it is within walking distance of the city. Facilities exceeded my expectation and everyone just minds their own business. Cleaning staff were there early every morning to clean up and take out the trash which was good and it is a place where you can meet and make new friends with people from all different walks of life.

The place is absolutely huge and of course the decor looks a bit tired but it was totally clean so no complaints at all. Hot shower, huge shared kitchen, great location literally right next to the bluebridge ferry terminal, and lovely staff. Will stay again my next visit to Wellington!
