Owner let me check in early at 730am after a night bus from Lima, and check out later at 9pm while waiting for my night bus :') large chain hostels will never let you do this without charging! Tours readily available, common kitchen is simple but has everything you need. Breakfast changes every 3days so that's great. No bunk beds in the dorms which is a plus cause who wants to climb after a day of hiking. Very hot showers as well. Good location from the square

Love the breakfast here, it was different every morning and they were all delicious. Paul is super helpful, not only he helped me arrange local tours, he is also very knowledgable of the local transportations and nearby hikes so I couldn take public transport and hike on my own. Also very considerate, make sure I have properly acclimatized before doing any hikes. On days that I had to leave early to a tour, I was given bread (basic but still nice) to take with me.

Erik and his family were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They made you feel like part of their family from the moment you arrived. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the property is on a quiet street. Breakfast is provided in the family kitchen and we had access to cooking facilities and the fridge. We went on an 8-day Huayuash trek with Erik and the whole experience was spectacular. Erik is a very able and knowledgeable guide. He is eager to share his understanding of the mountains, Peruvian history and politics and the rich culture of the country. The food he provides is delicious and his equipment and organizational skills are excellent.

Brenda and her husband are super nice and welcoming, they helped us with rescheduling the booking multiple times when I wasn't feeling well. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed, highest standard than anything else we've had in Peru so far. It was lovely to see all the animals and great to have access to coffee all day.

A really sweet hostel, Ronald and his family and Dani are amazing, really nice ambience, available tea and a nice kitchen that people gather around, Ronald has a travel agency and you can easily organize your treks and daily hikes from the hostel, highly recommended! I enjoyed every minute there, can't wait to come again :)

This is a great hostel - really nice courtyard and chill out area with hammocks. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but tasty, we loved the little dog and the staff were super nice. Also amazing value!
