We stayed almost a week and it felt like a homestay because the host Rafael and his family are taking very good care of you. We got a pick up from the airport and on a rainy day we could join them for a trip to the local market in the city. After other guests left they asked us to move in their room because the room was nicer and had more space, moreover they cleaned inbetween our stay. The meals are prepared by the grannys of the family and are very good, same for the Maracuja Piscos Rafael prepared for us in the evening. For out last dinner Rafaels Mom even prepared a chicken from her garden for us - delicious! Besides relaxing we did some tours, which we recommend: - Clay licking perrots and other exotic birds at surise - Sunset Boat Tour - Jungle Hike - Lago Sandoval The first 3 tours were operated by Rafael himself, he has a very good knowledge about the environment and wildlife there, the other tour was organized by him, but with a bigger group and another guide. Moreover, after dinner you can join for a nightwalk to see sloth and other animals on or near the property. After all a great experience.

The food was really good and there was plenty of it. Our son who is a picky eater was also able to find enough to eat. We loved all of the adventures! We stayed in the bigger lodge and it was fun. We were basically the only ones in it, so it could be noisier when it's full. You have to think of it as glamping, not a hotel. It's the jungle after all! We loved being able to see butterflies and birds outside the bathroom window screen! Truly an incredible and unforgettable experience!
