Easy to reach from the public transport, no keys needed as everything works with code which is convenient. Bonus points for sunlight blocking courtains by the bed - super helpful since I was travelling for a dance event, meaning going to bed early morning and this way I could rest. Owner was very responsive

At the hostel, rooms are fitted with a wardrobe. The shared bathroom is fitted with a shower and a hairdryer. Art of Sopot was so welcoming! We arrived earlier than anticipated, and with my cousin tagging along, and we were warmly welcomed none-the-less! The room was very comfortable and the apples, tea, coffee, and donuts made a nice simple breakfast in the morning. We loved meeting Lola, the resident dog!!

The property features a spa centre, nightclub and a shared kitchen. I loved the hostel a lot. I'm a solo traveller and I stay in hostels quite often, so I saw different accommodations. Even in Gdansk, I stayed before in Hostel4u and I didnt have a really good experience there. So on my second visit to Gdańsk I chose Szafarnia Hostel and I had a very pleasant stay there. They offer female dormitories, which I find important for women, who travel solo or with girl's company. Everything is very nice, clean, fresh, lovely. Rooms are in a good condition, beds are comfy, fresh bedsheets(but you have to pay 10zl for a towel), I stayed in December and the heating worked perfectly so it was warm and cozy as well. You have a big lovely shared kitchen with all the utilities and stuff you may need as well as you have shower gel and shampoo in bathrooms. Showers and toilets were really clean, everything worked perfectly. For additional pay you can also go to the spa, ask the stuff and they will give you more information since they are pretty friendly. Also the 24/7 check in is a plus. Oh, and they also serve free coffee near reception, which is quite useful when you have an early flight. The location of the hostel is great! It's super close to the old town, the river, all the attractions pretty much and it also has a lot of lovely cafés and restaurants nearby. I know it's not my last visit to Gdansk and I'm surely going to stay in this hostel or their apartments Szafarnia 11. I honestly think that's the best place to stay in Gdansk, especially for budget travelers. I enjoyed it all and I highly recommend it. You will not regret If you stay here. Clean room and comfortable bed. There is a light and outlets for each bed. You have a big locker in the rooms which would fit maybe even a suitcase. The building is safe, they give you a key card and with it you enter the building, your room and you open your locker with it. Breakfast was good as well, salty stuff packed that you can take away(cheese ham salad butter) and also several types of cereal and milk. You also have coffee and tea available in the kitchen constantly.
