I had such a great stay at Castaway! The place was super calm, really clean, and the owners were so nice. Virginia was the sweetest – you can tell she really cares about the place and makes it feel like home. It’s not a party hostel, which I really liked. There was fresh fruit and bread every day, and the De’Longhi espresso machine was a huge bonus. The beach was maybe a 20 min walk along the road, which I did not mind, but else there were also bikes available for rent.

Right across the street from Supertubos Beach, this hostel is located in one of the premier surfing spots in Portugal. Very friendly staff creating a family-like atmosphere, making guests feel at home. It is also very clean and peaceful, The surrounding area and beach are beautiful. Luis, the owner, is charming and very knowledgeable, especially about surfing. Breakfast is tasty, with good coffee, freshly baked warm rolls and more. guests can sit together and share stories about their travel experiences.
